Summary

The presentation started by explaining that ProBEC - sponsored programmer's vision is that 'All population should be able to satisfy their energy needs in an affordable and sustainable manner'. ProBEC focuses on biomass energy conservation, which entails economical, efficient and sustainable use of biomass energy. Examples being improved efficiency cook stoves, fuel, fire and kitchen management, and sustainable natural resource management. Application of technologies meant for biomass conservation has a positive impact on health due to reduced air pollution and burns.
