Partners for Africa holds kick-off meeting in Vienna


A kickoff meeting of the project, in which all 6 consortium members will be present and will work together to ensure effective project development will take place in Vienna on Friday 20 February.

The meeting will be opened by Mr. Dirk Pottier, responsible EC scientific officer of the project (DG Research), and Mr. Vladimir Stehlik (EC - DG Development), representative of the EU Energy Initiative.

This will be followed by short presentation from the 3 European partners (WIP/ETA, ITDG/ECO, SEI) and the 3 African partners (ILLOVO, ENDA, CEEEZ). Presentations by consortium members include overview of past successes, future challenges and opportuntities in each of the three project themes:

  • Sustainable resource management
  • Health, and
  • Enterprise development
