Proceedings: Workshop on Cogeneration and Bio-ethanol for Southern Africa


Proceedings from the Partners for Africa Co-generation and bio-ethanol policy dialogue workshop, organised by Illovo Sugar Ltd. and WIP-Munich in South Africa from 21-22 June 2004 are now available online here.

Interested parties at this workshop included international and local experts from the Industrial, Academic and Government sectors engaged in global dialogue and initiatives in the fields of:

  • Bio-ethanol production and use
  • Biomass based co-generation
  • Small-scale bio-energy technologies for household applications

One of the main aims of this policy dialogue was to discuss successful Brazilian bioenergy experiences in a Southern African context.
